June 2023: What's New Since Launch? 🦆

Three months ago Developer Duck launched with ChatGPT 3.5 support and an Xcode plugin. Since then, a lot has happened! GPT-4 support, realtime replies, and a lot more. Let's look at what's new in the 18 updates since then:

1. Quick Query UI 🔍

Introducing the Quick Query UI, a spotlight-like interface that you can trigger with a custom global hotkey.

Quickly change the mode, copy results, or open in chat:

  • ⌘1 Ask: Get quick answers to quick questions, including code examples.
  • ⌘2 Explain: Paste in a block of code or confusing regex and get a line-by-line explanation.
  • ⌘3 Generate: Write a short description of your goal and Developer Duck will generate it for you.
  • ⌘C: Copy the generated code block.
  • ⌘⌥C: Copy the full markdown generated reply.
  • ⏎ Enter: Open the quick-query in a conversation window.

2. Command Line 💻

Meet the `duck` command line! You can now add/remove DocC comments from input code, generate code from a prompt, or explain code provided as input.

3. Launch at Login Toggle 🚀

Make Developer Duck always just one keystroke away with the new Launch at Login toggle. It's the perfect complement to the Quick Query hotkey.

Other Highlights: ✨

  • Over 18 updates since launch: I'm committed to active development and continuous improvement.
  • Custom icons for subscribers: Personalize your Dock with custom icons.
  • Tabbed window support: Enjoy better organization with auto-titled windows and tabs for quick reference.
  • Xcode integration: Use Developer Duck where you already code.

Thank you for your continued support, and I hope you enjoy these new features! As always, I appreciate your feedback and suggestions. Stay tuned for more updates and happy coding!

Thanks for your support!
